The Free Youth Orchestra is a charity which focuses on removing financial barriers between children and access to musical equipment and music lessons, by providing instruments and workshops run by local musicians. 

We believe music should be for all kids, no matter their socio-economic background.

We encourage learning through play and experimentation, free self expression, and a collective exploration of sound as an orchestra using conventional and non conventional orchestral instruments such as synthesisers, pedals, tapes, electric guitars, electric bass and more.

We hope to help kids feel empowered to create, share and connect.

We are free, community based, run by volunteers. In loving memory of Tom Relleen.
